Who we are
This website is operated by Transcontinental Shipping Lines L.L.C-FZ ("TCSL"), Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E., with offices in Karachi (Pakistan) and Bangkok (Transcontinental Shipping Line (Thailand) Co., Ltd.). TCSL is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
Forms (quotes, quote wizard, contact, call booking, tracking requests, container enquiries, freight review, One Gateway plans): name, company, email, phone or WhatsApp number, origin and destination, cargo details and your message. Customer portal and marketplace accounts: company, contact name, email, phone, password (stored only as a secure hash), shipments, documents, invoices, listings and requests. AI assistant and WhatsApp: the messages you send and our replies. Technical data: IP address, browser type, the page you came from and campaign codes in links (utm), used to protect the site and to know which campaign brought an enquiry.
How we use it
To answer enquiries and prepare quotations; to book, handle and track shipments; to run the customer portal and the members marketplace; to send service emails such as status updates and login details; to prevent spam and abuse; and to improve our website. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal effect.
Legal basis
We process data to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform our contracts (quotes, bookings, accounts), for our legitimate interests (running and protecting our business and website), to meet legal obligations (customs, tax and trade records), and with your consent where required (optional analytics cookies).
Who receives it
Your enquiry is routed to the TCSL department of the requested service. To deliver our services we share the necessary details with carriers, agents, customs brokers and authorities involved in your shipment. Service providers that process data for us: our web hosting and email provider; the AI provider chosen by TCSL for the assistant (Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic); Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business messages, if you contact us on WhatsApp); OpenRouteService (road distances, coordinates only); MarineTraffic (vessel positions, vessel numbers only); Cloudflare (spam protection on forms); Google (translation when you choose a language, and analytics only if you accept cookies). Some providers are outside your country; they are required to protect your data.
Cookies and similar storage
Essential storage keeps you logged in, protects forms and remembers your cookie choice and language. Optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are used only if you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep it
Enquiries without a booking: up to 24 months. Shipment, invoice and customs records: as long as trade and tax laws require (usually 5–10 years). Accounts: while active and up to 12 months after closure. AI and WhatsApp conversation memory: up to 24 hours for the conversation, enquiries created from it like other enquiries.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, protected storage for documents and data that cannot be opened from the web, access limits and spam protection. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your portal password private.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its use, withdraw consent, and ask for a copy in a portable format, as provided by the law that applies to you (for example the UAE Personal Data Protection Law or the EU GDPR). You may also complain to your data protection authority.
